SHIPPING OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES We avoid shipping small book orders outside the U.S. because the post office charges letter weight… four to six dollars per book, depending on the country. Therefore we must charge $5.00 per book for shipping outside the U.S. However, larger orders weighing 11 pounds or more come under a special media rate called “M-bag Air Freight.” This costs us $2.25 per pound. This works out to about 25 copies to meet the weight requirement. Therefore to ship 25 books to Latin America, we must charge an additional $35 shipping and handling for that quantity, or more proportionally. The customer may pay this shipping charge via the Donate button on our web site and notify us in the comments box what this refers to. We DO NOT recommend M-bag. The post office accepts no insurance nor responsibility for loss. Sometimes boxes are damaged or stolen and there is no recourse. Shipments are by surface and take 2-4 weeks to arrive, depending on the country. The box MUST be sent to a post box, not a private residence. This may result in customs charges, depending on the country. Therefore, we cannot accept responsibility for lost or damage books sent by M-bag. All risk is on the part of the customer. A better option is to have someone bring them in their luggage who is coming your way. If you have further questions about this, please write to The Smallings We regret the inconvenience but it cannot be helped. Thanks for your patience.
